Life Legacy

ALLEN, REBECCA FRANCES, was born in Ava, Missouri, March 12, 1926 and died July 31, 2014. She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico as a young child and lived there for over 30 years. She graduated from Albuquerque High School, class of 1946. She married at the age of 18 to Sterling Benn Allen (deceased) and was very happily married for 67 years. Sterling and Rebecca had three loving children, Leana Revell (Sebring, Florida), Sterling Blane (deceased) and Sterling Dale (deceased). Her five grandchildren and five great grandchildren will also miss their Grammie tremendously. She was a woman dedicated to her family and friends, one who was always involved in caring about and helping others. As the family historian and storyteller she always kept in touch with family and friends and had many stories to share about people and their lives. Rebecca loved to travel, meet new people and share her tremendous energy and love of living. Over the span of her life she and her family lived in Albuquerque, N.M.; Las Cruces, New Mexico; Guam, M.I.; Sacramento, California; Anchorage, Alaska; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Seattle, Washington and most recently in Sebring, Florida. Her favorite thing to do was to travel across the country with Sterling in their motor home, visit others and see the many beautiful sights in the United States. She never turned down an opportunity to go places and do things and she remained active, independent and vibrant every day until her death. Throughout her lifetime Rebecca was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and had a rich religious life and convictions. She was a member of the Sebring Parkway Church of Christ. There will be no funeral services in Sebring as she will be buried in Albuquerque, N.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in her name to The Portales Children’s Home in Portales, New Mexico or South Florida State College Foundation, Avon Park, Florida. Arrangements by Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring.

Condolences or Life Stories may be expressed in her Guestbook. Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring, Fl.
