Life Legacy

BAKER, Theodore J, was born on March 10, 1943 in Painesville Ohio to Donald John Baker and Grace Evelyn Jewell. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 1968 and from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1972. He served as a military dentist and retired as a Major in the Army Dental Corp. The majority of his dental career was spent in Sebring, Florida, where he was an involved member of his community. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, a Rotarian, an active member of local state and national dental associations, and served many years as a peer review president for his local dental society. He loved food and cooking (especially seafood and barbecue) and loved the outdoors. Camping and boating were two of his favorite hobbies and he spent a lot of time in the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands. Ted passed away on Sunday, May 18 in Tampa, Florida. He is loved and missed by his children, Tami Baker, Theron Baker, Alex Baker, Alana Griffith, Bradley Baker, and Brian Baker, his wife, Paula Baker, step-children Tanya Huter, Taryn Lavender, Jon Fountain, Lee Allan and Joseph Allan, 15 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and sister, Terrie Baker. A memorial service will be held in his honor on June 20, 2014 at 10am at the Latter-day Saint Chapel located at 3235 Grand Prix Drive in Sebring Florida.
