Mary was my adopted mom thru my teenage and early twenties. She was always one step ahead of her generation, she viewed the world with wisdom and compassion. I really admired her for taking on the world and standing up for her beliefs, before it was acceptable for women to speak up. She was determined that her daughters would have a different world and that they would have the ability to stand tall. Did you know Mary preformed weddings? She married Vernon and me way back in 1973. We did have to start and restart the ceremony a couple of times, but she was perfect. I love her so and I have so many memories that have influenced my life, my prayers and thoughts are with you all. Your mom was the best!
