BROWN, WILLIAM ROBERT (BOB), 78 of Sebring died Monday. He was born in Andalusia, Alabama. He was a graduate of Sebring High School class of 1952, served in the National Guard, served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a Pipefitter, belonging to the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Montgomery, AL and Miami. He moved back to Sebring in 1982. He was a member of Sparta Road Baptist Church, Sebring. He enjoyed fishing, mission trips, volunteering at church in many capacities and served on the City of Sebring Code Enforcement Board fot 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Frances A., two sisters, Mary McAulay and Frances Lairsey, Nieces and Nephews, Ronald Walker, Donald Walker, Connie Ibrahim, Tracy Lee, Karen Lairsey, Amy Poole, Clay Lairsey, Wayne Brown, Jr., Amy Green and Cathy Brown, Sister in laws, Gladys Berry and Kathy Krett. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Morris Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Sebring Historical Society, New Testament Mission or to the Gideons.

Uncle Bob was one of the greatest men I knew and always provided a role model for this family. I will remember him always for the man he was and my heart will always have a part missing with his absence. I know he is in a better place and we will have a special angel watching down from heaven on us. Rest in peace Uncle Bob, I love you.
