Life LegacyRobert A. Burdick 90 of Sebring, FL formally of Titusville, PA passed away at 6:30 am on Wednesday Nov 18 at The Palms of Sebring where he had been living for the past year. Mr Burdick was born on Jan 20, 1925 in Titusville to the late Claude “Roy” and Georgia Alexander Burdick. Bob graduated from Colestock High School. He was inducted into the United States Navy June 4, 1943 and honorably discharged as an Aviation Electrician’s Mate Third Class. He was employed with Cyclops steel and then he and his brother William opened Burdick Builders Supply, a retail lumber business, which they owned for 25 years. He was a Mason with Titusville F. & A. M. Lodge 754. He also held Lifetime memberships to the Titusville Elks Lodge 264 and Zem Zem Shrine. He and his wife moved to Sebring in 1998. Bob truly enjoyed being out doors and working in the yard He also enjoyed anything to do with carpentry. Survivors include his wife Judy of Sebring whom he married in St James Episcopal Church in Titusville, a daughter Shannon Burdick of North Port, FL and one granddaughter Danielle Burdick of Ft Lauderdale, FL. One sister Helen Kuhn of Titusville, two sisters-in-law Marilyn Burdick of Titusville and Mary Ann Burdick of Tryonville, one brother-in-law James Wescoat of Titusville, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Burleigh, one sister Marjory Wescoat, two brothers, William Burdick and Ted Burdick. One brother-in-law George Kuhn and one nephew Jeffery Burdick. Per his wishes there will be no viewing or service. The family suggest that memorial contributions can be made to Hospice,The Humane Society or the Charity of your choice. I remember going into the builders supply with my dad as a kid, and really enjoyed seeing Bob and Bill. Growing up through the years, Bob was always a fun person to talk to.
