Life Legacy



Marion Chickerell passed away, June 25, 2016, at Florida Hospital, Sebring Florida at the age of 91. Marion was born March 27, 1925, to Myron and Laura Stanton in Laurens, New York. Marion graduated from Laurens Central School where she played the cymbals in the band and was the piano accompanist for the choir. Marion attended the Nathan Littauer school of nursing and earned her registered nursing credentials and later worked at Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, New York. Marion married Nicholas Chickerell and in 1957 moved to Daytona Beach, Florida. Marion held a variety of positions at Halifax Regional Medical Center including night nursing supervisor, day nursing supervisor, administrator of the emergency room and intensive care unit. Marion is predeceased by her parents, husband Nicholas Chickerell, sister Myra Rose Schalk, and brothers Carl & Robert Stanton. Marion is survived by: her daughter, Olivia Scott (David), two granddaughters Lindsay Lynch (Jeffery), Laura Wade (Eric) and 5 great grandchildren Elise Chaisson, Harley Wade, Daniel Lynch, Nicholas Lynch and Anna Lynch. Memorial service will be Friday, August 5, 2016 at 7 PM at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Highlands Little Theatre’s Building Fund,
