Life Legacy
DAFF, DONEL HUGH (DUCK), 75 of Sebring, FL, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Duck was born in Silica, West Virginia and moved to Maryland in his early childhood where he attended School. He married Annette Petitt on August 31, 1957 and on October 1973 he moved to West Virginia relocating to Sebring in 1981. He established Duck’s Body Shop on Kenilworth Blvd in 1981 relocating to the present location on Hawthorne Dr. in 1989 and his legacy continues through his children Jeffrey and Beverly. Duck was an entrepreneur, fireman, well driller, automotive mechanic, bus driver, coal miner and tow truck driver. A member of Order of Eastern Star and Past Master of Sebring Masonic Lodge #249 F & AM. Duck was a devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Sebring, where he enjoyed driving the bus and being a part of the bus ministry. A loving husband, father, friend, mason and is survived by his wife, Annette, children, John, Jeffrey and Beverly, his grandchildren, Chas, Rikki, Eric, Reinassa, Ronn and Reinna and his sister, Betty Talbott and his beloved service dog, Angel. A commemoration of his life will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday at First Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Masonic Rites will be 10:00 am, Monday at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial in his honor to Nu Hope of Highlands County, 6414 US Hwy 27 S, Sebring, FL 33870.
