Life Legacy



DARROH, MAURINE S., 90 of Sebring, FL, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday. Maurine was born in Katy, Texas, daughter of the late, Don and Alice (Morrison) Smith. She attended Baylor University and graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College with a degree in Music. She and her late husband, H. Gerald Darroh started ranching in 1952 and in 1966 established the L7 Ranch in Lake Placid, FL. A faithful and long time member of First Baptist Church, Sebring where she served as Church Organist for 30 years. She and Jack White served as Sunday School Teacher for the Intermediate Youth. Maurine is survived by her loving family, twin sons, Jerry and Larry Darroh of Sebring and Donald Paul Darroh, Sr., Sherman, TX; daughter-in-laws, Katie Darroh, Deanna Darroh and Michelle Darroh; grandchildren, Donald Paul Darroh, Jr., Michaela Darroh, Donovan Darroh, Samuel Darroh and William Darroh. The family will receive friends 3:00 pm-5:00 pm, Sunday at Morris Funeral Chapel and 12 noon, Monday at First Baptist Church. Funeral Service, 1:00 pm, Monday at First Baptist Church with Pastors Matt Crawford and Jack White officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church.

Mrs. D will be greatly missed, one of the nicest, kindest ladies I have ever known. Brings back fond memories of her cooking for the cow crew every summer in the late 70's. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
