Life Legacy



Donald N. Emery Sr. entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Sebring, FL, formerly of Mt. Vision, NY. He was born to the late Donald and Julia Emery on November 24, 1934 in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York. Don was well known as a master artist in drywall application in a career working in construction.
Don married his life long best friend Lorraine Shelton on November 27, 1955 who survives as well as a brother John R. of New Suffolk, L.I., NY. He is also survived by seven children: Donald (aka Mike) N. (Lynn) Jr. of Loudonville, NY; Glenn R. of Glenrock, WY; Dr. Sandra L. of Burkina Faso, West Africa; Jeffrey S. of NY; Keith A. of Mt. Vision, NY; and Matthew J. (Shirley) of Fairport, NY; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren as well as cousins, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11am with visitation one hour prior at Maranatha Baptist Church, Maranatha Village, in Sebring, FL. A later Memorial Service will be held at Don’s home church on May 3, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Schenevus, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Camp Northfield, 96 Wannamaker Rd., Northfield, MA 10360 in memory of “Gramp” Emery.
