MEEKIN, GEORGE J., 93 of Sebring, FL died, March 24, 2012. George was born in Madison, NJ, a graduate of St. Peter's College in NJ, retired as a Federal Executive for the U.S. Navy. He served in the U.S. Army, 442 Infantry which received the Congressionnal Gold Medal for its service during W.W. II. He was a member of St. Agnes Episcopal Church, Sebring. George is survived by his wife, Gladys G. Meekin and son-in-law, the Rev. Fr. James Kurtz both of Sebring and eight nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, April 28th at St. Agnes Episcopal Church with Military Honors following by V.F.W. Post #4300. George will be buried next to his first wife, Martha Meekin at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Agnes Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice.
