GLISSON, IVEY WILLIAM (I.W.), 85 of Sebring, FL died, April 16, 2014. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at 12 Noon at the Grace Bible Church, 4458 Thunderbird Road, Sebring. I.W. was born October 13, 1928 to W.D and Vinnie Glisson. I.W. was married to Annie Laura (Collier) Glisson on June 13, 1947; spending 66 years as husband and wife. She preceded him in death, passing on Monday, November 11, 2013. I.W. and Annie Laura owned Glisson’s Animal Supply on US 27 South, and formerly owned Sebring Feed Store and Sebring Western Wear for many years in downtown Sebring. I.W. was active member of Highlands County Volunteer Sheriff’s Department (1970-2006) & Sheriff's Posse and a member of the Cattleman’s Association. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Edward. He is survived by his brother, Harold Glisson and his sister, Betty Dugger; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Glisson. He is also survived by his children, Michael William (Karen) Glisson; daughter Sharon Lee Glisson and son, Ivey William (Bill) and (Rhonda) Glisson; grandchildren, Kelly Glisson, Joanna (Pasquale) Lamarra, Christopher (Erica) Glisson, William Cody (Nadine) Glisson, William Dillon Glisson and great grandchildren Gabriella (Gigi) Lamarra, Alayna Glisson, and Massimo (Max) Lamarra. He is also survived by many other family relatives. Visitation 11am till 12Noon on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12Noon at Grace Bible Church, Sebring. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.

May Almighty God of Tender Mercies Comfort the Glisson family (2Co.1:3,4).
When the last Enemy strikes grief maybe Great And make the Heart yearn for Comfort, Almighty God gives HOPE And PROMISE At (ISAIAH 26:19, JOHN 5:28, ACTS 24:15 And REVELATION 21:4), Almighty God HOPE And PROMISE IS SOON TO BE ATTAIN.

He was a wonderful man. I have alot of fond hunting memories with Mr. Glisson, that I'll never forget! He always had a sack of biscuits and a Coca Cola!!
