Life Legacy



HAGEMEISTER, J. ERIC, 50 of Sebring, FL died March 28, 2015. Eric was born in Charleston, SC, son of John F. and Paula (Weatherly) Hagemeister. He moved to Sebring in 1977 from Milledgeville, GA, graduate of Sebring High School, class of 1983, He served in the U.S. Navy in the Gulf War and GA Summit in 2005, also Iraq Freedom. He then enlisted with the Army National Guard. Eric had worked for Publix at Southgate and later at Sunshine Staffing. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Jack Hagemeister; a cousin, Stephen Youngs, aunt, Ann Story and uncle, Albert Weatherly. Eric is survived by his mother, Paula Miles, Athens, GA; sister, Nancy Margaret (Peggy) Hagemeister, Helena, MT; aunts, Sandra (Arthur) Roberts, Sebring and Nancy (Henry) Garcia, Ft. Worth, TX; cousins, Lorie (David) Jackson, Sebring, Mike (Patty) Roberts, Avon Park, FL, Debbie (Paul) Kaleel, Orange Park, FL, Brenda Taylor, Bonifay, FL, Kim Froelich, Sebring, Scott Weatherly, Birmingham, AL, Mark Weatherly, Patty Weatherly, both of Houston, TX, Patricia Cox, Brownsville, TX. Christopher Garcia and Rebecca Garcia both of Baton Rouge, LA. Military Honors will be held Monday at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL. Memorials are requested to Wounded Warriors of any veterans organization.
