Asa W. Hammer, 89 of Sebring, Florida passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 in Sebring. He was born in Union, Iowa on March 22, 1921. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years as Chief Master Sergeant and another 15 years in the Federal Government. Asa (Bo) retired in July 1977 and he and his wife, Doris moved to Sebring, Florida. Bo was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Elks, VFW, Moose, American Legion, and the Sebring Municipal Golf Course. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael L. Hammer, and is survived by his wife Doris M. Hammer, and daughters Linda J. McDonnell and husband Pat, and Terry L. Hammer. Bo had two brothers, George and Howard Hammer both of whom are also deceased. Bo has 4 grand children, and 2 great grandchildren. There will be no memorial or funeral services at Bo’s request.
