My heart is so heavy for the loss of my friend Caroline I can hardly breathe. She has been my next door neighbor for the past ten years and most recently, a wonderful friend with whom I exchanged laughs and tears, plants and lunches and many heartfelt "girl" stories from our youths! What a joy Caroline had become in my life and I will miss her always. To Rick and her family, my very sincerest sympathy goes out to each of you. Prayerfully, Josi

Rick: I got word about Caroline and can't believe she's gone. She was my biggest supporter when we worked together at the Tax Collector's Office and when my son, Bill, died. So sorry that since we left the County in 1998 that we didn't stay in touch. We're in NC for summers and Highlands for winters now but will never get to see her again. I loved Caroline always. Dear Wendall and Kelvin, I am so sorry to hear about Caroline. I will always remember the miles of walking with Caroline around the lake while eating yogurt covered raisins. We both laughed so hard at each other's stories that our cheeks hurt. I know she missed her Daddy and now they can be together forever. Love, Linda

You will be missed! She was a loving and wonderful person & friend. "Phoebe" was her nickname and she loved it when people called her that. Sadly she has been taken too soon!!!

Within Caroline was a joyful spirit. I have and will always feel fortunate that our paths crossed. I met her when she cared so deeply for her father, whom she adored. She was one who continued to fight admist the challenges of life-her resolve was remarkable. Despite difficulties, she was able to find such beauty in her garden, and in other places of nature. I will miss you, Caroline. I learned much about life from you. I know you are at peace. Kristin

I am so sorry to hear about Caroline's passing. I remember as a young kid going to Uncle Dink's many thanksgivings with the Skippers and having a great time. We all grow up and go our separate ways but family keeps us together and keeps us going during times like these. My sincerest condolences go out to Caroline's family. David Parker
