Life Legacy

HERNDON, DONALD A., age 76 of Sebring, FL died Monday, October 19, 2009 at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Don was born in Coconut Grove, FL. Don Retired as Senior Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force on February 28, 1974. A veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He moved to Sebring in 1985 from Rapid City, SC and worked for Radio Shack for several years. A member of Little River Masonic Lodge #142, Miami and former member of Sebring Elks Lodge. Don is survived by his wife, Betty Herndon, Sebring; son, Donald A. Herndon, Jr., Sarasota, FL; daughters, Angie Jonson, Phoenix, AZ and Karen Glover, Rapid City, SD; brother, Dorie I. Herndon, Jr., Rapid City, SD and sister, Nancy Morrow, Haines City, FL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 9:30 am to 10:00 am, Sataurday at Morris Funeral Chapel. Services to follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Ted Moore officiating. Military Honors to follow. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
