Life Legacy

HURLEY, MABEL I., age 86 of Sebring, FL died December 28, 2009. She was born in New Tazewell, TN, daughter of the late Lester and Janie (Hicks)Turner. Mabel was a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, TN. In 1961 she and her late husband, James W. Hurley moved to Sebring from Plant City, FL and Jim passed away in 2003. She was a faithful member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #126. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Chuch of Sebring where she taught Sunday School for many years and was involved with the Womens Society of Christian Service. Mabel is survived by her dovted son, Rick Hurley of Sebring and a brother, Ben C. Turner of California and grandchildren, Amanda L. Harris, Sarah Beth Hopton and Charles Wesley Clements. The family will receive friends, 10:30 am till 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church with a service to follow at 11:00 am, Rev. A.C. Bryant, officiating. A private burial will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Memorials are requested to Red Bird Missionary Conference, 6 Queendale Center, Beverly, KY 40913-9606.
