Life Legacy



Ronald “RON” Lee Jackson, age 79 of Sebring, passed on to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, January 31, 2018 at FLORIDA HOSPITAL, TAMPA.
Ron was born in Pontiac, MI, moved to Charlotte, NC from Birmingham, MI. Ron and his wife, Gale, settled in Sebring, in 1988 to care for his parents, Mattie B. and John S. Jackson.
He was an avid professional photographer, graphic designer, manufacture’s representative with marketing and engineering experience. He loved art, photography, sailing, music (especially Jazz and Gospel) and chatting with friends - “he never met a stranger”. He especially loved chatting and joking with friends, other Vendors and customers in the DOWNTOWN MALL & MARKETPLACE, Sebring.
Ron attended La Sierra SDA College, Los Angeles, California. He was very active in the Seventh Day Adventist and Lutheran Churches. In Sebring, he was a Blessed member of GRACE BIBLE CHURCH.
While in Sebring, he worked at PUBLIX, SEARS and AGERO. He was President of the Home Owners Association for TOWN and COUNTRY Manufactured Home Park and served 5 years as a Board Member on the WEST SEBRING VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents Mattie and John Jackson and Grandparents, Prentice and Katie Wall of Sebring.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gale G Jackson, his son, “Chipp” and wife Christine Jackson and his daughter, Jodi and husband, Scott, Kilpatrick. Step son, Scott Crosby, and Step daughter, “Ani” Blair.
Ron has five (5) grandchildren: Lauren Kilpatrick, Christa, Katie and Cody Jackson and Nina Cayley Thoms.
A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 24, 2018, at GRACE BIBLE CHURCH, 4541 Thunderbird Road (2nd Church on left), Sebring, by Pastor, Dustin Woods, and Care Pastor, Chris Taylor. Visitation will be in the Church foyer from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
Memorial recommendations include: GRACE BIBLE CHURCH, WEST SEBRING VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT and EPILEPSY SERVICES FOUNDATION, INC, TAMPA.
