JOHNSON, RUTH LEAK, 94 of Sebring, FL , was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 14,2011. Ruth was born in Terre Haute, IN and was a civil service employee during W.W. II. She married the late Raymond Johnson, moving to Sebring in 1967 from Ft. Myers, FL. Ruth was active at First United Methodist Church, Sebring and active with the United Methodist Women. For several years she proudly volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Ruth enjoyed traveling in the United States as well as abroad. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; brother, Robert Leak; sister, Mary Powers; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Ingalls. Ruth is survived by her loving family; son and his wife, Steven and Cory Johnson; grandchildren, Ethan Johnson , Benjamin Johnson and Justine Bonzheim. The family will receive friends, 10:00 am till 11:00 am, Tuesday, Services will follow at 11:00 am, at Morris Funeral Chapel, 307 S. Commerce Ave, Sebring with Rev. A.C. Bryant, pastor of First United Methodist church, officiating. A private family burial will be held following services at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. As per Ruth’s request, Memorial contributions may be sent to Florida Methodist Children’s Home, 51 Main St.,Deltona, FL 32725 or Meals n Wheels, in care of Sebring Church of the Brethren, 700 S. Pine St, Sebring, FL 33870 .
