I grew up in the shaddow of Guy's grace. He took me to the woods countless times as young boy and allowed me the opportunity to spend time with my buddy Chet. I have fond memories of him and the rest of camp at the Slough. I have equally fond memories of all us at the annual golf outing in Okeechobee, atleast it kind of changed into that. It was an annual event that I looked forward to each and every year. Chet, David, and I among a few others (The Flat Bellies) would always try to beat the old men (The Round Bellies), this team consisted of Sandy Foster, Jim Gose, Ron Handley, Marty Reopstorff, and a few others over the years. I remember Guy would be right there following us around and putting his two cents in when needed or not! He was right there the day that two hole in ones on the same green happend during that match i believe. He was an awesome man, and his kids are a reflection of that! He did an awesome job raising his family the way he felt they should be raised. I hurt for all of you. I know where he is, and that is comforting for us all! I love you Maxcy's!!

Guy was a great help to me and Buck Elliott, when he was a Sebring county commissioner, during the years that we owned Elliott's Mobile Home Park on Lake Istokpoga. I am very sad to read of his passing. My sympathy to the family.

Mr. Maxy greeted us with a smile. Our conversations were lively and informative. He was always eager to offer suggestions regarding issues we faced with the Desoto County Mural Society. He will be missed. Our deepest regards to his family.
God Bless
