Life Legacy

McKENZIE, LYLE WILLIAM, 67 of Sebring, FL died Feb. 23, 2016 at Florida Hospital, Sebring. He was born in Tawas City, MI, son of Allie Verona Pratt and William James McKenzie. Graduated from Hale High School in MI, joined the Army and fought in Vietnam from 1968-1970 where he was exposed to the chemical Agent Orange which severely damaged his health for this entire life. Lyle was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Lila Clement, Hale, MI. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; sons, Brent, Dayton, OH and Joseph Bartley, Sebring, FL; daughter, Sherry Bartley, Northport, FL and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters, Jacquelyn Schoultz, Menasha, WI, Toni Young, Little Chute, WI and Darlene Bessey, Flushing, MI; brothers, Arnold McKenzie, Green Bay, WI and Harold McKenzie, Hale, MI. Lyle was a loving tender hearted man, generous to a fault who will be sorely missed by his family and his two special Yorkies, Mini and Wee McKenzie Lad. Cremation has been entrusted to Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring. Interment with honors will be at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery. The family suggest memorials to Wounded Warrier Project or the V.F.W.
