Since that time we worked together in changing the dispatch area into our office. When I needed a helping hand with anything all I had to do was ask. This was the type of man Walt was. He spent time at the lake Placid Police Department helping us set up a network. Walt was a very talented and generous man. He always had a quiet encouraging word. Knowing that a person of Walt's character is no longer in the world will make the world a lot lonelier. He will be missed. He was often the first friendly face I would see when I'd go in to the station to check reports. He was always so very helpful with anything I needed. Even when policies became stricter, he'd still try to accommodate and if he couldn't he'd say so. I had such respect for him. He often talked about you, Nora. His love for you was so great. Walt will certainly be missed by many of us.
