Life Stories

The First Time I Met Ramon

Posted: April 21, 2010 | Last Revised: April 21, 2010

The first time I met Ramon was when he came to Virginia w/his mom and dad to find a place to have a rehearsal dinner for his brother Jose and my daughter, Ashley's wedding. When he got out of the car at the top of the driveway Marta told him I was Ashley's mother and he asked her again about it because he thought I was Ashley's sister. Who wouldn't love a guy like that? Over the years I have laughed and enjoyed all of the Ramon stories--he saw things in a different way and it was always fun to hear about it.

My dearest Marta and Johnny, I have just learned of Raymond's passing and wanted to let you know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Linda Grosso Joseph called me from the office and I was simply shocked. I am so sorry I won't be able to attend the visitation or services due to my health but wanted you to know I love you.
