Life Legacy
Lois J. O'Keefe, 98, of Sebring, FL died December 12, 2017. She was born in Erie, PA August 8, 1919, daughter of the late Raymond and Bess Gildersleeve Ward. She was a secretary at the Ashby Printing Company for several years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Erie, and for the last 37 years a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, FL. She moved with her husband to Maranatha Village in 1980. She played the piano and accompanied the church choir in Sebring. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1988, an infant son (5 hours old) in 1946, her oldest son, David in 1993, and son-in-law, Paul Davis in 2010. She is survived by her son, James and daughter, Carolyn Davis, both of Sebring, FL. Besides her three children, she cared for a foster child (Rusty Hunt) for two years in 1947-1948. She had 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was buried in Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, FL. Visitation and Memorial Services will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Manor, 54 Maranatha Blvd, Sebring, FL 33870.
