Life LegacyOUELLETTE, HERBERT J., 85 of Sebring, FL died October 12, 2011 in Sebring. He was born in VanBuren, Maine and joined the U.S. Navy in New Haven, CT on March 21, 1944, serving in the Pacific during W.W. II as Seaman 1st Class. Herbert married Rose Dionne on Febuary 3, 1951. He retired in 1981 from Mechanic Uniform Service, East Hartford moving to Norcross, GA. He then retired in 1991 from Travelers Insurance moving to Sebring. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and a life member of V.F.W. Post #4300 both of Sebring. Member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, Sebring and a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus in Enfield, CT. He was preceded in death by daughter, Rebecca Ouellette and is survived by his loving family, wife, Rose and children, Steven (Penny), Elyria, OH, Nora (Tom) Dunphy, Berlin, CT, MaryEllen (Bill) Baker, East Windsor, CT, George (Nancy), South Windsor, CT, Herbert T., Enfield, CT, Frank (Madeleine), Jacksonville, FL, Sarah-Ann Larkin, Jacksonville, FL and Paul, Athens, GA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A mass will be celebrated 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. Catherine Catholic Church. Although we hadn't seen Mon oncle Boy and you Matante Rose & family [cousins] in many years we've continue to keep you all in our hearts and prayers. Mon oncle was a very special man. Today he's reaping his rewards of enternal life. He was loved much by his eternal Father. He [mon oncle] came to know that at an early age. Remember Matante and cousins that he's still very close to you all. His spirit lives forever. The last child of Simone and Olive [Cormier] Ouellette to leave this earthly life.
