Life Legacy



PENCE, LESLIE (Les) MAURICE, 70 of Sebring, FL died July 18, 2009. A former resident of Kissimmee, FL recently moving to Sebring, FL. He was born in Norman, OK, a veteran of U.S. Air Force, he served as a Weather Observer. Less retired from McCrory's Department Stores. He was associate manager in Plant City, FL; in 1967 he was promoted to manager of the Kissimmee store. He also served as manager of Belle Galde, Orlando, Winter Garden and Ft. Pierce stores. Since his retirement he did the preparing of tax returns; owned a golf cart business and enjoyed wood crafting. Les was preceded in death his parents, Gilbert and Clauzell (Hunt) Pence; sister, June Madden and is survived by his loving family, wife, Bertha Pence, Sebring; daughters, Amy (Mike) Bruce, MI, Deborah (Clay) Overstreet, Lorida, FL, Vicki (Mark) Mizrahi, St. Cloud, FL; brothers, Gerald, Merrill, Kenneth, Travis, Wayatt and Phillip all residing out of state; grandchildren, Cody Dublonsky, Ricky Pence, Jennifer Bruce, Sara Bruce, Cole Overstreet and Christa Mizrahi. Military Honors were held, July 28, 2009 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL Morris Funeal Chapel, 307 S. Commerce Ave., Sebring, FL.
