RUFFNER, ROBERT WALLACE, age 81 of Sebring, FL died Friday, September 4, 2009 at Florida Hospital Heartland, Sebring. He was born in West Reading, PA, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He retired from I.T.T. moving to Sebring in 1987 from Oswego, NY. A member of American Legion Post, Smyrna, GA; Ephrata Masonic Lodge #665, Ephrata, PA; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Greensboro, NC ; Oasis Shrine, Charlotte, NC; Highlands Shrine Club, Sebring; High Twelve Club #592, Sebring and Lake Placid, FL; Oswego Elks Lodge #271, Oswego, NY. Survived by a loving family, wife, Frances L. Ruffner, Sebring; sons and their wives, Bob (Bettie), Longwood, FL, Ray and Glenn (Patricia) all of Powder Springs, GA and Ken (Becky), Dawsonville, GA; step-children, Robert (Elizabeth) Schickling, Pulaski, NY, William (Mary) Schickling, Oswego, NY, James (Karen) Schickling, Plano, TX, Patricia (Michael) Tryniski, Fulton, NY; brother, Gerald (Susan) Ruffner, Rochester, NH; sisters, Shirley (Bill) Montross, Elizabethtown, PA and Joanne (Bob) Groome, Akron, PA; nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial services 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Atonement Lutheran Church with Pastor Felice Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
