SCHMIDT, CALVIN H., 84 of Sebring, FL died January 13, 2012 in Clewiston, FL. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the U.S. Air Force. A resident of Homestead, Fl from 1947 till 1989 moving to Sebring. Cal retired from Pan American Airways, and was an avid gardner and fisherman and enjoyed traveling with his late wife, Leni. A very active member of V.F.W. Post #4300 and loyal member of the Honor Guard. He is survived by his son and his wife, Eric and Terry Schmidt, N. Bayshore, LI, NY; grandchildren, Melissa (Nelson) Da Costa, Tim (Daniela) Schmidt. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, January 20th, 2012 at V.F.W. Post #4300. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Memorials are requested to V.F.W. Post #4300.
