SMITH, JAMES MILNER “RED”., 90 of Lorida, FL died July 17, 2009, at the Palms . Red was born in Selma, AL, son of the late James Ruffin and Mamie Belle (Screws) Smith moved to Miami when Red was a child. Red spent most of his life in Miami involved with Heavy Equipment He established Engine and Accessories in Miami and 1973 he moved his company to Lorida. He enjoyed repairing and the rebuilding of all types of heavy equipment. A charter member of Lorida Lions Club and a faithful member of the Lorida Volunteer Fire Department. The Fire Department honored Red by naming one of it trucks after him. A failthful, devoted and loving husband of 53 years to Yolanda Kubay Smith of Lorida; father to Robert (Linda) Smith, Miami, FL; close friends, Dick and Jeanette Erhart of Lorida and Young Harris, GA; grandfather to Robert Craig Smith and Christina Marie Smith; great grandfather to Madison Ann Smith. The family has requested a private family service and memorials are reuested to Hope Hospice.
