Life Legacy



SPIRES, MARVIN E., 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2014. He was born in Center Hill, FL, son of the late, William Henry and Lizzie (Selph) Spires. A lifelong resident of Sebring and was former City Police Officer, firefighter and retired owner of Spires Roofing. A member of Sebring Firemen, Inc. Marvin was preceded in death by his grandson, Coy Benson and great grandson, Tristan Roberts. A loving and devoted husband and father, he married Imogene Lightsey on September 1, 1951 and are proud parents of daughters, Marva (Mike) Willingham, Cheryl (Russ) Sharp, Beverly (Ted) Glarner, Nancy (Ron) Owens; a son, Eugene (Sarah) Spires; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Visitation 10-11AM, Friday with Service to follow at 11AM at Morris Funeral Chapel with Dr. Eugene Bengston officiating. Burial with military honors by V.W. W. Post #4300 at Pinecrest Cemetery. Those desiring may make donations to any charity.
