Life Legacy

STILES, JR., JOSEPH M., 84 of Sebring, FL went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 in Tampa, FL. Joe was born in Akron, OH moving to Sebring at the age of 5. He attended Sebring High School and graduated from Admiral Farragot Military Academy, St. Petersburg, FL, class of 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy (1943-1946). He attended Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX returning to Sebring working in the family business, Stiles Standard Oil, Bulk Plant. In 1953 he married Vee Vee Shefield and they were owners of Stiles Furniture. Joe was a member of the N.R.A. And former board member of Highlands General Hospital. He attended First Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jewell (Tate) Stiles, Sr. and wife, Vee Vee Stiles. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Louise Heston Stiles, Sebring; son, J. Marty Stiles, III, Elizabeth, CO; daughters, Sharon Stiles Ellard, Bradyville, TN and Jackie Stiles, Sebring; step-sons, Jerry, Terry Heston both of Avon Park, FLand Pat Heston, Tampa, FL; step-daughter, Tina Dupriest, Sebring; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation 4-6 pm, Sunday at Morris Funeral Chapel with services 11:00 am, Monday at First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army.
