Life Legacy

MARYANN WOLPERT, 69 of Sebring passed away Thursday in West Palm Beach, FL. She was born in New York , New York moving to Sebring 17 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was an Executive Assistant with the Highlands County Tax Collector's Office. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 48 years, Richard and was the beloved mother of her son, Dean of West Palm Beach, and daughters, Ann Gibson of Montclaire, NJ and Christine Wolpert of Providence, RI. She is also survived by a brother, George Gaige of Palmyra, VA and two sisters, Nancy Williams of Ohio and Judy Schneider of New York, NY, and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23 from 5-7 PM at Morris Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 24, at 10:30 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to St. James Catholic Church.

I remember Maryann as one of the North Babylon girls who made a real effort to welcome me to the North Babylon High School community when I arrived from Brooklyn in our Freshman year. She was a beautiful girl and I will remember her kindness always. God Bless you Maryann and sympathy to your family
